  Located inside of the Best Western Hotel, this dance club atmosphere bar is not hard to find. If you like to dance the night away with a wide variety of country, rock and top 40 booty shaking action then this place is perfect for you. Personally I prefer a low key run down bar yet Michaels is very popular amongst the locals. Wednesday night is probably the most active night because they throw one of the biggest ladies night parties in the area and people come from miles around. Plenty of seating near and around a large dance floor make it comfortable to sit, dance or even just walk around. This place obviously has mixed reviews of personal preference, like I said I’m not a club type of person but I will lay it out as honest as I can. A main wraparound bar, side bar and plenty of cocktail waitresses make it reasonably easy to get a drink whether you want to pay cash or run a tab and keep ‘em coming. The DJ takes requests and keeps the wide variety of the crowd pleased. You’ll find any and all walks of life here and everyone showed up to have a good time. Drink prices are fairly adequate and comparable to any other club in the area. Attached is a billiard room with approximately five or six pool tables if you’d like to take a break from your two left feet for a while. I’m pretty sure they offer karaoke on Tuesdays and Thursdays but don’t quote me on that. I did sing there a couple times and in spite of not being able to carry a tune in a bucket I was made to feel at home. Should you get ridiculously rowdy or inconceivably drunk have no fear, you will soon find that you have been escorted off the premises by one of the many security guards they have employed. Yes, there is a large security and service staff in place and they are only there to ensure a good time. One of the major “pros” of this place is the traffic flow. People are constantly traveling through heading to the bar, the bathroom, the dance floor and the seating areas providing new faces, greetings and conversations. All in all, even though I prefer a hole in the wall bar, my adventure to Michaels Night Club was actually pretty good and I’m sure to return. I’ll give it 3 stars, I’ve seen much worse and I’m not a “club” guy.
